TPFC stands for Transit Power Fuel Control system. This system uses a constant choke carburettor. The carburettor used in this system increases the engine speed without giving any jerks. The throttle valve creates the vacuum which opens a slide that control the air fuel ratio through a tapered jet .This increases the engine performance. IT manages sudden acceleration easily. 

One can easily cover this using a TPFC sheild.
